Australian police have made a historic drug bust, uncovering 2.7 metric tons (3 tons) of cocaine in a property located in Londonderry, on the outskirts of Sydney. This operation represents the largest cocaine seizure in Australia to date, with authorities estimating the street value of the drugs at approximately A$816 million (US$572 million). The cocaine was found concealed in plastic tubs buried in underground bunkers, which were hidden by false floors.

The cocaine is believed to have been transported by boat from Midge Point, a remote area in Queensland, before being moved to Sydney.
